What's color is better for crown molding?

There are some tips to make the decision easier on you:
Don’t paint crown molding in white color.  Crown molding will collect dust, and then it will look dingy.  So unless you want to dust it frequently, paint it an off white color instead of white.
Paint the crown molding a different color than the ceiling and the wall.  It makes the crown molding pop more.  You can also paint the crown molding the same color as the window, door, casing moulding, and baseboard molding.
Paint the crown molding the same color in the whole house.  It will create a unification of your home.  But there are exceptions to this,  For example, if you have one unique room that has exposed stained wood beams, you might want the molding to match the beams.

Sculpted Baseboard Molding

Sculpted taller baseboard molding is a good idea for homes that are large in scale, it providing the most significant visual statement. This kind of baseboard molding size from 5 1/4” to 7” , maybe taller. Baseboard trim top edge is sculpted with scalloped or stepped details to provide visual interest and help it taper into the wall. The baseboard thickness range from 5/8 inch to as wide as an inch. The cost varies depending on the height, the shape and the material.
If your home with high ceilings or large rooms, this trim can be a great choice. It's also great if you have children or pets that might leave scuff marks along the lower portion of the wall, since it can help protect this vulnerable area. Keep in mind that this type of trim makes a style statement; you should avoid pairing it with elaborate crown moldings and other trim pieces if your house is on the simpler side.
